Goldeneye
This James Bond game based off the movie with the same name had a great singular player story, but what made it certainly shine was the multiplayer. Players could choose from a whole of characters seen in previous Bond movies and huge levels that made time fly when you were playing with 3 other people. One of my beloved scenerios is man with the golden gun, where one player is given the golden gun and everyone else teams up against him.
Elder Scrolls V Skyrim
Zelda Ocarina of Time
This was the first time players had seen a Zelda game in 3D, and it looked good. Besides having certainly good graphics for its time, Zelda came with the usual set of puzzles that keeps players' brains working. An intelligent aspect to the game were the ocarina songs, which had discrete effects, like the song of time, which would send young Link seven years to the hereafter to where he is all grown up and wielding the scholar sword and shield properly
Wave Race
This game was one of a kind and introduced a lot of people to the sport of jet skiing. The introduction level shows you how fun and relaxing the game is. Each character comes with strengths and weaknesses and the levels are a lot of fun to witness and the different moves are fun to execute and even wipeout.
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire
Dash Rendar is the main character in this Star Wars game and it has a little bit of all thrown into it, like racing gangs on speeders, captaining the Millenium Falcon, and tripping up At-At with your tow cable. Even if you aren't much of a Star Wars fan, this game is certainly fun because it has so many elements tied into it and every level is intelligent and unique.
Majora's Mask
The second game in the Zelda series for the N64, this game is a downright masterpiece and every bit lives up to the standards for the series. The new element to the game is the wide range of masks that Link can wear, each with the a new capability gained while wearing it. The game is very interesting, the whole hamlet resets every 3 days and it is up to Link to save the hamlet from the endless cycle by completing dungeons and a ton of fun quest.
Quest 64
The main character, Brian, is an extremely short main character who has magical abilities. The game is very cut and dry in its Rpg characteristics: battles are random turn based, battles net you taste points that you allocate to clear magical elements like fire or water to increase the power of those spells, and in between dungeons, you visit discrete towns to restock your catalogue with best items.
Mario Kart 64
A multiplayer classic. Mario Kart is still played by tons of people today and linking up four people and playing the level with the 4 colored blocks is sure to be fun. What sets Mario Kart apart from your median racing game is the multiplayer battle levels and the use of items to give you a leg up in a race.
Harvest Moon
One of my beloved series of all time, Harvest Moon seems like it won't be your cup of tea, but give it a few days and it will grow on you. This is the greatest relaxing game; if you had a hard day at work or school, pop this cartridge into the ol' N64 and you'll perceive just how fun it is to till land, brush cows, and give flowers to that hamlet girl you've got your eye on. What certainly appeals to me is how different Harvest Moon is from any other game.
Super Mario 64
This game took Mario 3D and made it a lot more fun than it was on the 2D games. You basically operate Mario while exploring a huge castle with paintings on the walls. Jumping into these paintings starts levels where you have to find all the stars for that area. My beloved part was surfing on the turtle shell and getting the hat with wings, allowing you to flying around the whole level.
